“ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’re currently staying on site at Woodlakes and decided to try the Woodlakes Wood Grill for dinner. The takeaway option was perfect for us as most of our party were fishing, and it was really quick and convenient. A few of us had the sausage and mash, which was some of the best we’ve had in a long time, really tasty and comforting where its cold weather. One of our group had the chicken wings with rice and salad; the flavours were lovely, but the wings didn’t have a huge amount of meat on them. Another person had the prawn cocktail followed by the chargrilled chicken burger and chips, which was delicious and very filling. For pudding, three of us had the tiramisu which was delicious, and one had the apple crumble and custard, which all came nicely presented with fruit on the side. Everything was packed in neat, presentable takeaway boxes and was still piping hot when we got back to the cabin. Highly recommend. The restaurant itself also looks really pretty inside, so we’ll definitely try eating in next time. ”

“ An amazing experience at the Woodland Kitchen & Bar, which is to be expected by the same team who somehow also run the Eatwell Café in Kings Lynn (the best breakfast café in Norfolk, in my opinion). The welcome is always warm because they're so excited to make sure your experience is top-notch, and the atmosphere is great. I'm glad we booked because it was busy all evening and yet there was no delay to our order. The food was so good I forgot to photograph half of it, but you can see from the desserts that the standard is HIGH. A delicious Brie starter made me desperate to try my main; a slow-cooked lamb shank on a bed of mashed potatoes with a thick, flavoursome gravy. I could barely eat it all, it was so good. After a break, I received a homemade crème brulée which was phenomenal. Rich, creamy, not overly sweet and with a satisfying crack. They clearly have a dedicated and experienced team in the kitchen. The service made the night even better. The whole team was friendly, funny and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A bill for 5 people with 3 three-course meals, 2 two-course meals, cocktails and other drinks was just over £200 and I can say it was with every penny. Parking is available with full accessibility, but do be mindful that the gravel road up to the restaurant is a little bumpy, so drive very carefully. ”

“ Visited tonight for the first time with my son. We had the most amazing meal. Staff were super attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Even carrying our drinks outside after our meal so we could watch the sun set over the lake. Chatted to one gentleman about my two fantastic holidays in Turkey with my late husband. Food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back. ”

Food arrived promptly and all 3 of us really liked our chosen dishes from the wide ranging menu. What a very positive start to dining out in 2026. ”
